Most dogs are happy to be bathed as long as its done with care. Bathing your dog can be done as often as you like, as long as you are using a good quality dog shampoo.
Before you start bathing your dog it is essential that all the equipment is at hand. The equipment required, includes:
When bathing your dog always work to a routine to ensure that the job is done thoroughly and never leave your dog unattended.
Check the water temperature on the inside of your wrist.
Prepare the shampoo
Pop on your Clipit Protective Apron so you don't get wet
Place the dog in the bath, and wet the dog thoroughly
Apply shampoo using a sponge as this created a better lather
Rinse the dog from head to tail using your hand to push the suds out
If the coat is particularly greasy, wash and rinse again
Squeeze the excess water from the coat with your hands
Towel dry the dog
If the dog allows, use a hair dryer
Be careful not to have the air blow directly onto the skin, as this would be too hot for the dog to endure. Most dogs hate the blower on their faces, but do not object so much if the heat and ferocity of the dryer are turned down to a minimum.
