Are you ready for Crufts 2022?

Show season will shortly be back in full swing in less than 2 weeks time. If you have a common interest in dogs, whether you are a professional dog groomer, breeder or pet mum, you will not want to miss Crufts 2022.




Due to Covid 19, Crufts 2022 will be the first time this event has gone ahead since 2020, so there is so much to look forward to. Our guide has been prepared so you can get the most out of the show.


Crufts 2022 what to expect

This much-loved annual dog event starts from 10 - 13 March 2022, and is hosted at its usual site, the NEC, Birmingham.


Crufts provides four great days of 20,000 dogs competing for the world-class title Crufts Best in Show. Here is a list of certain breed days you may find interesting if you follow a specific breed.


  • Thursday - Working and Pastoral

  • Friday - Terrier and Hound

  • Saturday - Utility and Toy

  • Sunday - Gundog

Besides admiring the standard of top breeds, Crufts also promotes Scruffts, the Nation's favourite crossbreed. Fun is emphasised, as well as responsible dog ownership, and anyone can participate.


Amongst the different breeds that are showcased throughout five halls at the NEC, there will be a variety of trade stands and breed standard club stands, where you can indulge yourself. This event is also enhanced by the addition of Discover Dogs, where you can go and meet and greet over 200 different breeds of dogs.

If you don't already know, Crufts can be watched daily on Channel 4 and More 4. If you are outside of the UK you can watch the four days on YouTube TV.


Clipit Grooming at Crufts 2022

Due to the ongoing concern with Covid 19, Clipit Grooming will not be attending Crufts. However we will be offering a Crufts discount during the period 10 -13 March, so you won't go without. For a list of events that we will be attending during 2022, please click here!


If you are planning to attend the world's greatest dog show, the Kennel Club have provided helpful FAQ's about Crufts and the NEC. In this link it will give you everything from the time the show opens to disabled access.

Please note, other than those dogs that have been invited to compete and attend, dogs are not permitted into the show.

How does a dog qualify for Crufts 2022?

For a dog to be eligible to enter Crufts 2022, it has to have won Challenge Certificates that he or she has won throughout the previous 2021 show season. Challenge Certificates are offered to the breed and if the dog has qualified under the rules and regulations of the Kennel Club, the dog will go forward to Crufts.
